My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| I've always loved art. I admire people who can draw and paint. I am amazed by the talent sculptors has. There is something with art that makes me feel happy. The colors, the shapes, they make me feel easy. Some may find it weird, but I always visit different museums and art galleries every weekend, just like what I did when I went to Tampa, Florida for a short weekend. I didn't have to book myself a room since I only planned to stay overnight and I decided to just stay at my friend's house. I was really excited since I've heard there a re a lot of nice museums and art galleries to visit when in Tampa. First stop, Florida Aquarium on Channelside Drive. It was my first time to visit an aquarium, and I was really amazed with the beauty of the place! There, recreations of specific ecosystems alive with their actual denizens are a highlight. It was a real treat to the eyes. After that visit, I was instantly hooked with parks which carries water as its main theme. Next, I went to Busch Gardens. There, I was greeted with a combination of wild, crazy rides, wild animals and a themed area which ranges from Morocco to Egypt! It might not be Disney world, but it's probably the next best thing. I really enjoyed the place. After that exciting experience at Busch Gardens, I went to Henry B. Plant Museum. A lovely old mansion patterned after the famous Alhambra in Spain. Inside the mansion, I was amazed with the antique furnishings, some artworks and displays that depicts the American-Spanish war, and the beautiful artworks and paintings from Asia and Europe. The visit was both enjoyable and informative, thanks to the museum's tour guide. My last stop was at Tampa Museum of Art. There, I saw Roman and Greek sculptures, to modern art pieces. It's like entering a time machine. One room filled with eclectic and historical pieces, the other, contemporary and unique ones. The place was really majestic. And I am not exaggerating! I really had great time visiting the place. Tested and proven: Tampa is for those who appreciate the wonders of nature and the beauty of art! Can't wait to go back! |
